Usage Guidelines

Please read and follow the simple to understand rules;


  1) General Conduct
    a) No offensive language, pictures, objects or attitudes.
    b) No language, pictures, objects meant to hurt, harm or undermine any ethnic, social, sexual or aged
        group(s) or individual(s).
    c) Follow These Standards which are a few basic rules concerning Genealogy Data.
    d) No attempts at intimidation, stalking or unlawful information harvesting
    e) No postings, chat sessions or other input to the system involving hate, hate crimes, child porn, porn,
        animal abuse and similar disgusting items
    f) No email may be sent for the purpose of "Spamming", fraud, harrassment or other than "reasonable"
        and acceptable acts.
    g) No commercial pursuits are allowed using any of the services without expressed written permission.


  2) GeneWeb Services
    a) In order to utilize the GeneWeb Services, you must agree that USGenealogy.net will be able to and will include your Data into the Main Database. We ask this in order to be of greater service to casual visitors. (Due to the nature of certain Genealogy and personal security aspects, we ask no data be input which contains "Live Person" information. This might be used for unfair or illegal purposes. If you choose to ignore this, USGenealogy.net shall not be held responsible for any or all resultant actions)


  3) Exclusions
    a) The "Network" (includes USGenealogy.net, 2EasyWeb.com and other holdings or assets of Cyber830) will and shall be held without fault for postings, pictures and all other content placed, uploaded or stored by users of this service. While all effort will be made to ensure a safe, non-threatening, secure environment for all, the "Network" shall not be responsible for any threats, objectionable material or loss of data. Further, the "Network" may at times designated by them, perform back up routines of any and all material stored on the "Network" for safe keeping. These backups are liable to be searched, examined by designated person(s) for content violations. These writtten exclusions are not the only claimed by the "Network" as others may apply.


  4) Actions
    a) It is the responsiblity of all users to inform and report all "unreasonable" activites and acts of members. It is the responsiblity of the "Network" to respond to all reports in a timely manner and take such action as to modify or eliminate the source of the problem once a deviation from the guidelines has been determined.


  5) Privacy Policy
    a) It is the stated position of USGenealogy.net (a wholly owned property of 2EasyWeb.com ) to provide for our members and guests and safe and private space (where applicable). As most of the services rendered here are for the open public, members and guests must keep this in mind. While not strictly speaking part of our Privacy Policy, this is important to keep in mind.
    b) USGenealogy.net will not trade, barter, sell, license, post or allow other persons or entities access to member information (except as noted above). Email addresses submitted during registration are displayed on member web pages but only in such a manner as to pose little or no use to email harvesting spiders or similar software agents. Other information not directly accessible through or posted on member pages will be held by us and subject to the the "NO TRADE" rules in this section.
    c) Cookies - We use cookies to hold certain login information in the "Chunker" area. Cookies are small text files placed on a users machine for the expressed purpose of easing a returning visitor or member login process. Cookies may be used for tracking a persons online activity. USGenealogy.net does nothing of this sort. If you feel cookies may harm you or your personal information, please disable this feature in your browser. Note, our Thumper does not use cookies.
