The story behind the Green Tree is related by its' creator, Vernon Green on page 1 . No amount of thanks and gratitude can be given to Vernon for his work, time and determination. We all should be grateful for belonging to a family which has such people. This iteration is a modest attempt to update it by using new media unavailable to Vernon in 1979. It too will in time become outdated as well. It is hoped some now young relative will pick up the reins to keep the content fresh and vibrant for years to come.
The On-Line/CD version was made possible by Ronald Green (who is himself the son of Vernon's brother, Gene), having graciously allowed access to his copy, ours long since lost. A few notes are in order. Due to the technology in use at the time of the original printing, the copy used for scanning was “less than pristine”. If anyone wishes to correct or improve with clearer images, please do so using the contact links below. The Green Tree is meant to be a "Living Document" as and such, requires updating. This is where you, the reader come in. Please feel free to send your current Green Family Information to a “Senior Family Member” and we'll be delighted to add it to the base. Also, any pictures, small videos may be included in the upcoming Green Tree CD (due out summer '03).
As mentioned, another change from the original version is the ability to include pictures, audio clips
and small videos. We have acquired thus far;
Grandpa Genes' personal photo album
Pictures from the Service for Uncle Allie, most taken at the While Cloud, Ks. Reservation.
Assorted photos from the year 2002.
Assorted photos from the year 2003.
To include photos, audio clips, video and/or anything else having to do with Green Tree
please email to either below.
