Alabama Genealogy includes my Brooks lineage of Pennsylvania into Tennessee, Texas and Alabama with Ballard, Baxley, Bond, Baxter, Carter, Clark, Craig, Pennington, Stone, Stephens, Cooper, Hereferd, Hood, Lee, McClain, Thornton, Partridge, Holly, Westbrook, Ward, Smith Some of these old settlers began arriving in Alabama about 1820, long before the Trail of Tears, long before the Native Americans left. They had to travel through the Indian Territories to the land they had purchased; some were already married to an indian or had become indian traders and can be traced back another one hundred years- use the Search Box to read about any of them.
