Security Issues	First and foremost. You needn't disclose any personal information. We will not ever ask for your phone number or password, etc. We at USG.net don't need or want that sort of info. We don't want to be responsible for any "Bad Things" happening as a result of someone finding that on-line. About the only data we do want is your email address. This is so we can contact you with lost password, etc. We won't abuse your trust and we will NEVER disclose anything about you.
Personal Info (revisited)	Having said the above, it's time to say that you may input some personal information. This is useful for say, the "MatchU" search. Also, family data in the Club Message board, webpages or WebTree are encouraged. Else, what's the point of it all, eh? The more Genealogy data you place in our system, the more useful we become. So, yes, use the service without fear as long as phone numbers/addresses are not visible and never disclose this to anyone, anywhere.
Suggested uses	We see the "NetClubs" as the Primary function in this site. Of course, you may use any and all of the other services. NetClubs provide a frightening amount of ways to get your message and Family Data out to everyone else. One way is the message board. This is for your use. (The Main Message Boards are available also but are general in nature) Therefore, use it to post whatever you wish. Another tool is the ChatRoom. The messages here stay in them. Kinda useful if you forget something that was said along the way. You might well keep that in mind. While in your chat, note the options. Email, search, surf, avatars, etc. Useful and fun too!. Other means of using NetClubs would be to copy/paste the address of your club onto your webpage. Or email it to your friends. Do both. The more visits to your Club, the more use it will be to you and others. WebTree creator is another fun and useful tool. With it, you may display your family tree info at a glance for others to see.
Demo Page	Follow this link for USGenealogy Test Page. Note, colors and backgrounds were chosen from the built-in Template and Color Chooser menus. There are many different forms to pick and a wide variety of backgrounds/colors from which to choose. But you can see the possibilities all without knowing a bit of HTML coding. Also note the links to our WebTree, Netclub and guestbook. All are available for members. In fact, the WebTree link is created automatically at sign up time so new members are encouraged to go through that process.
Web Page Creation	At signup, a file named, "index.html" is created for you. This is the default page required by browers. So, if your username is "user1" your page is; http://www.usgenealogy.net/members/user1/index.html (though you may safely omit the index.html part as this is the default name for any starting page). You may modify that or create your own with the WebPage Wizard. The wizard will assist you so that you need not know any code to use it. A few notes on the wizard. If you intend to place photos or files in general in your page, please either; 1. Upload them before making your page(s) or 2. Keep the names handy to enter them in the appropriate spots and upload them later.
WebTree Page Creation	At this time, only members may use this service. Also, basic members are limited to 4(four) layers. Children/Siblings/Parents/Grandparents (maternal and paternal).But even at that, this is an easy and useful way to show your family tree info. More layers may be added soon however. All data you input is searchable by members (and non-members by the search form on top of main pages) to facilitate matches. We feel this addition will soon be a favorite tool for all members.
File Trade?	We have a unique service for file trading/swapping. We apologize but we cannot and will not upload or accept MP3's. But, most other file types are accepted. One may upload files you feel may be of use to our community.
